Jet Power II®
Wastewater Oil and Grease Removal
Duke’s partners with cities to ensure sewer pipes not only stay free of roots, but also fats, oil and grease (FOG).
Effective removal of grease and other accumulations in wet wells, manholes, lift stations and sewer lines, is a core component of the treatment process. Jet Power II® is a grease liquefier that is non-corrosive, biodegradable, non-acidic and non-caustic. It will not damage sewage and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations or sewer jet trucks.
Jet Power II® is jet-sprayed upstream from the affected pipe containing powerful surfactants that leave the sewer virtually fat, oil and grease free after just one pass.
How Do You Remove Oil and Grease in Wastewater?
Our Process
A 1% solution of Jet Power II® is mixed in your high-pressure jet truck. Only 10 gallons of Jet Power II® are needed to produce 1,000 gallons of solution and it will treat approximately 1,000 feet of sewer pipe.
The batch treatment requires only 10 to 15 minutes to liquefy FOG, allowing you to quickly move on to jet spraying and retrieval.
When jet spraying, pressure should be set to maximum PSI and reel speed, and we recommend using a rotating nozzle. The hose is stopped at the upstream manhole, at which point the water pressure is turned off.
Roughly 10 minutes later, the oil and grease will be homogenized and pipes will be virtually free of FOG.
