Positions Available:

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for qualified, full-time candidates to fulfill the role of Sales Representative in our Southeast territory to partner with our Sales Team to deliver high-quality and professional customer service.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

You will be the one to work on a consistent basis with our customers and project management team to ensure that our services are on time and distributed in a profitable manner.  An excellent planner who is well versed on customer service procedures and ways to optimize them.  They are organized, results-driven and resourceful.  Advanced communication and computer skills are very important for the role.  The goal is to ensure continued revenue growth within the territory across all service lines.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Growing revenue within the territory across all service lines
  • Creating territory plan and setting annual goals
  • Planning and submitting weekly sales schedules
  • Providing weekly sales edits within our database
  • Communicating and coordinating with project management team
  • Submitting weekly expense reports
  • Professionally representing the company when promoting various products and services
  • Driving a company vehicle to and from each sales appointment and various conferences
  • Holding various state pesticide licenses with regulatory agencies when necessary
  • Holding various association memberships when necessary
  • Travelling 50-70% of the time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience:
    • 10 Years of sales experience
    • 10 Years of experience working directly with or for municipalities in the sewer, water or construction industry
    • Experience working with private engineering firms who focus on municipalities in the sewer, water or construction industry
    • Extensive knowledge of the dynamics of a wastewater collection/treatment system in the Southeast which includes wastewater flow conditions and monitoring
    • Knowledge of pump station specifications and run cycles
    • Working knowledge of MS Office
    • High school diploma, with further education or certification preferred

DATA ANALYST

Duke’s Root Control is seeking applicants for the position of Data Analyst reporting into our Data Team Leader for our Crystal Lake, IL facility. This position will be moving to our Elgin, IL office late summer.

What to Expect:

The Data Analyst is responsible for reviewing data and turning that into informative reports that are the final deliverables for our clients. Data Analysts are exceptional at finding patterns in data and creating additional queries and visualizations on the fly and has a keen attention to detail in the production of professional write ups and reports. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Develop client facing dashboards and reports that summarize data collected from professional water and wastewater surveys that we perform in the field. Key clients for deliverables are Professional Engineers and Utility Directors and Managers.
  • Integrate and merge data across multiple tool platforms.
  • Produce engaging, concise and understandable written reports for our clients.
  • Manipulate data over our in-house GIS platform.
  • Participate in pre-construction and deliverables meetings as required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in data mining and analysis.
  • Critical thinking skills and computer-based problem-solving skills are a must, even working with new software applications and data sets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to write and speak clearly to communicate complex data into easy-to-understand information.
  • Experience producing professional reports, executive summary write ups, and Power Point presentations.
  • Attention to detail, must be able to understand the data and identify trends to ensure correct conclusions.
  • Strength in math skills and statistics
  • Experience with applications such as Access (VBA), SQL (including writing stored procedures), Tableau/MS Power BI and/or Excel (VBA/macros production) is required. Applicants will undergo a skills assessment for knowledge in this category.

GIS experience is preferred, but not required.

DATA MINING

Duke’s Root Control is seeking applicants for the position of Data Mining Specialist reporting into our Data Team Leader for our Crystal Lake, IL facility. This position will be moving to our Elgin, IL office late summer.

What to Expect: 

You will be the one to work on a consistent basis with our GIS system and our previous historical data to build GIS maps. The Data Mining Specialist will be responsible for building historical data maps for assigned communities and will report into the Data Quality Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and correct historical data, typically delivered in MS Excel formats
  • Merge data across multiple spreadsheets using lookup formulas.
  • Manage data housed in multiple databases and be able to confidently merge, import and export data.
  • Download data from data base or reach out to client IT department for raw data needs
  • Look up and verify locations of structures in a municipal system using GIS street view
  • Match and plot to client provided GIS map. Upload data in organized way using existing templates.
  • Make corrections to either historical data or GIS map data.
  • Perform daily data quality audits from data produced by our service technicians

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience with data analysis to locate, audit, and correct errors in data files
  • Experience in SQL, such as MySQL, MS-SQL Server, or other applicable software
  • Good organization and time management skills, including the ability to confidently self-manage deadlines and tasks
  • Ability to coordinate with both internal and external customers to ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Advanced Excel skills using formulas, pivot tables and other features to expedite analysis
  • GIS experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in programming languages preferred but not required.

CCTV CAMERA TRUCK OPERATOR

What You Will Do:

Our crews are the true backbone of our company. As a CCTV Camera Truck Operator, you will work with our municipal customers and engineers to provide safe, sanitary environments and clean drinking water to their residents. You enjoy being physically active, traveling, and working outside in all seasons. You are responsible for safely operating camera trucks and running closed caption television (CCTV) robotic cameras. You will do pre-and post-shift truck inspections, prepare camera equipment for jobs, operate camera robotics in sewer and drain lines, assess pipe conditions and record digital videos of findings. You may also oversee the work of the Field Service Technicians.

SSES PROJECT MANAGER

What You Will Do:

As our Project Manager, you will use your knowledge and expertise by working directly with our customers to ensure successful project completion and outcomes for all stakeholders. You will oversee the project from start to finish and manage the preparation of full bids and estimates on large and complex projects as required by customer’s requirements. You will predict resources, prepare change orders, develop and manage the project schedule and work plan, manage contracts, expertly and thoroughly communicate with all stakeholders throughout project lifecycle. You will also utilize industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout the entire project scope.

SSES FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

What You Will Do:

Our crews are the true backbone of our company. As a Field Service Technician, you will provide quality workmanship and work with municipal customers and engineers. You take pride in the work you perform by helping our customers provide safe, sanitary environments and clean drinking water to their residents. You enjoy being physically active and working outside in all seasons. You will spend the day performing manhole inspections and rehabilitation, inflow and infiltration (I/I) assessments, and working on freshwater systems (line stop/tapping) all while committing to strict safety protocol.
