Hydro-Excavation Service
Hydro-Excavation Service
Why hydro-excavation?
Hydro-excavation is a safer, more effective method of excavation compared to traditional methods of digging. Hydro-excavation uses pressurized water and a vacuum system to remove soil and debris and provides the following benefits compared to traditional excavation methods:
Precision and Accuracy
Hydro excavation allows for precise and accurate digging, making it ideal for projects that require careful excavation around sensitive utilities, underground cables, pipes, and other infrastructure. The focused water jet can cut through soil without damaging nearby structures helping you locate, verify, and expose utilities on the job site — quickly, efficiently, and safely.
Reduced Damage Risk
Unlike mechanical excavation methods (such as backhoes or bulldozers), hydro excavation is non-destructive. The controlled water pressure minimizes the risk of damaging underground utilities, cables, pipelines, and other infrastructure, reducing repair costs and potential service disruptions.
Safety
Hydro excavation eliminates the need for hand digging near utilities, which can be hazardous due to the risk of hitting electrical, gas, or other live lines. It also reduces the risk of cave-ins or collapses that can occur with traditional excavation methods.
Speed and Efficiency
Hydro excavation is often faster than traditional methods, as the high-pressure water stream can quickly break up soil, and the vacuum system efficiently removes the slurry. This can lead to shorter project timelines and reduced labor costs.
Versatility, Depth & Breadth
Hydro excavation can be used in a wide range of soil types and conditions, including frozen ground, clay, rocky terrain, sandy soil and is effective even in cold temperatures as low as -40º F. Hydro-Excavation offers both depth and breadth in areas where access is limited and is effective in wide areas or deep underground.
Minimized Disruption
Hydro excavation minimizes disruptions to traffic, pedestrian flow, and nearby businesses or residents. The equipment can often be positioned farther away from the excavation site, reducing congestion and safety concerns.
Regulatory Compliance
In areas with regulations regarding excavation near utilities or sensitive infrastructure, hydro excavation can help companies comply with these rules by providing a safer and more controlled digging method.
